Bulgarian Under17 coach Marcho Dafchev announced his team ahead of Round 1 tournament in Slovenia, where his team will face competition of Slovenia, Austria and Malta.
Bulgaria travels to Slovenia with high expectations, promotion to the elite round is in sights for Dafchev. »Of course we expect to play tough opponents in Slovenia,« he was determined, »we expect to play on the highest level and gain promotion to the elite round.
Dafchev selected 20 players from the Bulgarian league, without singling out an individual. The Bulgarian coach knows that every match matters on this level. »If a team doesn't start well, then every next match is the most important.«
First two teams will qualify for the Elite Round, but Dafchev doesn't want to single out a favorite. »I believe all teams have equal chances,« he stays respectful towards all opponents in the group.
